Review | Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli

I’ve been sitting here, writing and deleting, much like Simon and his emails to Blue, but no amount of word vom is going to describe how much I LOVE this book. I hadn’t heard about the book before it became a film, but in true bookworm fashion I had to read the book before watching the movie.

I’m so glad I did.

Where are the words!? GAH!

Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda made me insanely happy. Like, sickly happy. Simon is probably the most lovable character I’ve ever read and his friends, well they’re just as awesome. My heart pounded with anticipation. I laughed and cried all the happy tears, because… well, THAT ENDING!

“The way I feel about him is like a heartbeat — soft and persistent, underlying everything.”

Worst book review in the history of book reviews? Perhaps.

But you MUST read this book.
