Summer Reading

It’s June and I’ve read 26 books so far this year. Twenty. Six. Books. Now, obviously that’s not counting the beta reading I’ve done or the books I’ve proofread this year, but that number still disappoints me. With three kids (ages 9, 7, and 2) I’m going to struggle a bit getting through this list, but I’m going to do my best. What’s on your Summer Reading list?

If I Die Tonight | Alison Gaylin

You can read my review here!

The Intermission | Elyssa Freidland

Seriously, have you read this synopsis?

The Dark Lake | Kate Hosking

You know that book that you get from the library and before you know it your days are up and have to return it? Well that’s what happened with The Dark Lake. I was enjoying the story and because it was a new release, my days were limited with it. I can’t wait to finish it!

Full Tilt | Emma Scott

Emma Scott is an author that I one-click and I’ve never read a single book by her. What the hell?! Right? Well this summer I plan to change that.

Killman Creek | Rachel Caine

Stillhouse Lake, the first book in this series, left me completely speechless. I decided to wait to read Killman Creek because the third book is set to release shortly after summer. Read. This. Series!

Abducted | T.R. Ragan

T.R. Ragan is a thriller genius!

Dear Rachel Maddow | Adrienne Kisner

After multiple attempts, I decided to DNF Dear Rachel Maddow

Where They Found Her | Kimberly McCreight

I heart mysteries so hard. I can’t wait to read this one.

The Lovely Bones | Alice Sebold

The Lovely Bones is the only book that I’m actually terrified to read. Every person I know that has read it, says it destroyed them. I guess we’ll see!

The Art of Racing in the Rain | Garth Stein

I googled saddest books and The Art of Racing in the Rain was one of the first titles to pop up. I love a good tear-jerker.

The Siren | Tiffany Reisz

I love anything this woman writes. I can’t wait to start The Original Sinners series.
